Holt Bosse Celebrates 10 years, Dan Clements Becomes Co-Owner

Southwest Michigan-based marketing firm Holt Bosse recently commemorated its 10-year anniversary in style, naming veteran experience designer Dan Clements as Chief Creative Officer and welcoming him aboard the ownership team alongside company founders Dave Holt and Patrick Bosse.

In this new role, Clements will lead the creative team in inspiring bold visions, producing high-quality material and guiding the company’s growing staff and client base.

“Dan is both highly creative and highly technical with a wide range of experiences that would be beneficial to any company,” said Dave Holt, Holt Bosse chief technical officer and co-owner. “His passion for exploring new ideas is a perfect fit for the company's plan to always be on the front end of the innovation curve.”

Clements has been part of Holt Bosse since Jan. 2023. He graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design in 2004 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial design. Since then, his experiences include several disciplines, from product design to brand communication strategy and design leadership. He worked for Worrell Incorporated in Minneapolis after college, then moved to Chicago to join Motorola in 2008. Before joining Holt Bosse, Clements worked at Whirlpool Corporation for 11 years, most recently as senior director of experience design.

“It is very exciting to have this opportunity to grow within the company and immerse myself deeper into the business,” said Clements. “I am eager to use the experience I have gained here and convert it into a way to serve a community I love and call home.”

The ownership change is the latest milestone in the company’s 10-year history. Founded on April 1, 2014, Holt Bosse started with two colleagues, a handshake and a sincere passion to help local and regional companies tell their stories. The company reached another milestone in the following year by acquiring regional marketing powerhouse FATHOM Works, increasing its staff and capabilities by 400% overnight.

In the following year, the company moved its operations to downtown St. Joseph by purchasing the building formerly owned by Smith Dahmer. A few years later, the company hit the $2 million mark for community donations, offered local organizations $200k in pro bono work through The Pitch Fest, organized by Women's Business Center and solidified relationships with more regional and global brands.

"It's been a privilege to have been part of the local business landscape for 10 years, contributing not just to our client's success but also to the community we call home,” said Holt Bosse Chief Marketing Officer and Co-president Patrick Bosse.
